The whole school took part in Mental Health Awareness Week and completed lots of activities linked to this year’s theme of ‘Connecting with Nature’. The activities were created for each class by the school’s Mental Health Champions and included art, exploration, mindfulness, helping the environment and taking curriculum learning outside.

The week started with a whole school assembly, to discuss the importance of Mental Health, and the pupil MH Champions attended a training course with ‘One Goal’ on how to support pupils within their role. Classes completed their activities throughout the week, including during the After School Clubs, and we finished with a live link up with Northside Primary School to share what each class had been up to and to find out how other pupils in our CET family celebrated the week too.

Please visit our Whole School Seesaw Blog (parents only) or our School Facebook page for more information and photos of the events.

Well done everyone involved and a huge thank you to the Mental Health Champions for planning the week 🙂
