Class 6 have taken part in an immersive WW2 day. We started the day by singing the national anthem and completed lines by writing it out! We then continued our morning with looking at the roles women took on during WW2, explored the posters created to persuade them to take on these roles and rated them to find the best ones. We then packed our suitcases, put on our evacuation tags and talked about why and how children were evacuated. We discussed and explored education during the 1940’s, and then compared education from the 1940s to the education now. This afternoon, we explored propaganda posters, created our own and then created our own carrot cookies using rations with the help of Harriet from Phunky Foods! 😊
