As part of their Bright Stars project the Year pupils have been busy planning fundraising ideas to help raise money for Animal Concern Cumbria. Working with sponsors from Kaefer in Cumbria and Natterjack Marketing, they have held meetings to plan the project over 6 weeks to help ‘make a difference’ in our local area.
They have developed a business plan, marketing campaign and helped to create their own Facebook page to share their project. They have written letters to local businesses asking for donations for their pet food raffle and planned their budget on how best to spend their £50 start up money … including a trip to the shops to buy supplies!

Their big event takes place on Saturday 19th June where they will hold a Pet Parade in the Hensingham Community and have stalls for coffee, cakes, sweets, toys and books … please come along to support this great cause 🙂
